The Lakeshore Road property is a National Historic Site (The Battle of Fort George) and is owned by Parks Canada.  Parks Canada's mission is to "protect and present nationally significant examples of Canada's natural and cultural heritage."

The property sits within Ontario's Greenbelt, an area of permanently protected green space.

The Region of Niagara has launched a waterfront enhancement strategy to increase public access to waterways.

The Harmony Residents group believes a natural heritage park on the Lakeshore Road property perfectly aligns with the above.  We want to work with all levels of government to establish a park that will benefit Niagara's visitors, businesses and residents.
